Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions are effective from 20th of July 2025.

TiaTutors is a tutoring service company that provides high-quality online tutoring sessions including customized learning plans . By using our services or purchasing any tutoring packages from TiaTutors (www.tiatutors.com), you agree to be bound by the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

Booking and payment policy.

Sessions can be booked via Email or Whatsapp, using the contact data displayed on and linked within this website (www.tiatutors.com) and our Linktree (https://linktr.ee/tiatutors). The booking becomes valid once it is confirmed through Whatsapp or Email.

The sessions can either be paid per session or bought as a prepaid package. Choosing to pay individually means that the payment is due after every conducted session indvidually. Alternatively, the sessions can be prepaid in advance as a package of 8 Sessions, which means the payment for the full package needs to be paid before the 8 credits for sessions become valid to use. The payment is executed via payment link, which is provided through the preferred mean of contact, either per email or whatsapp. The prices displayed on the Website may be subject to change. However, already purchased prepaid packages will remain unchanged, meaning that if a price change occurs, the remaining sessions of a prepaid package can still be used without any extra fees applying.

FREE TRIAL SESSION POLICY: Every student is eligible for one free trial session with one of TiaTutors tutors. The student may not choose the tutor themselves, instead the matching tutor will be assigned by TiaTutors. After booking a free trial session, the student is obligated to show up for the session, unless they cancel the session up to 24h before start of the session by either deleting the event or texting TiaTutors per Mail or WhatsApp. If the session was not canceled in time, an administrative fee of 5 Euro needs to be paid, as the Tutors prepare for the sessions and keep the time free. TiaTutors reserves the right to cancel or reschedule free trial sessions.

Session cancellation policy.

Student initiated cancellation:
Students are allowed to cancel scheduled sessions up to 24h before the planned starting time of the scheduled session. If the student cancels a scheduled session less than 24h in advance, the session is counted as taken, meaning the full fee for that session will be charged, or in case of the prepaid package plan, a full credit for a session will be deducted.

Tutor initiated cancellation:
If the Tutor cancels a session, the student will not be charged for the session, or in case of the prepaid package, no credit will be deducted. Additionally, the student will be given the option to reschedule.

Prepaid packages policy.

Prepaid tutoring packages include 8 Sessions of the chosen tutoring service. The package becomes valid with the execution of the payment for the full price of the package. The package is valid for 3 months, starting from the date of the purchase. Any unused credits remaining after 3 months period of validity, will automatically expire and will not be eligible for refunds or extensions. To attend more sessions after the expiry of a package, a new package or single sessions must be bought. It is the students responsibility to schedule and attend all 8 sessions within the validity period of the purchased package.

Prepaid package cancellation and refund policy.

If the student wants to discontinue the tutoring sessions before all sessions are used, they may request a refund for the remaining valid sessions. The refund policy does not apply for expired sessions. The refund will be calculated as:

Remaining session value - 50€ administrative fee = eligible refund.

Any refunds for packages only apply for unused credits that are still within the 3 month validity period. For a refund, TiaTutors must be contacted via Whatsapp or email. The eligibility for a refund only becomes valid once it is confirmed by TiaTutors via Whatsapp or email. Confirmed refunds will be processed within 14 working days after approval.

No-show policy.

After the starting time of the booked time slot for the class, the student has 15 minutes to still show up. The missed time still counts as class time. If the student shows up later than that, it counts as no-show and the class will be cancelled automatically and will be fully charged or credited as used. If the student fails to attend a scheduled session without any prior notice, the session will be marked as a no-show and will be fully charged or credited as used.

General terms of conduct and responsibilities.

Both students and tutors are expected to maintain a respectful, professional, and polite demeanor during all tutoring sessions and within means of external communication, exceeding the sessions. Students are expected to arrive on time for all scheduled sessions, be prepared with the necessary materials, assignments, or questions in advance, participate actively and respectfully in all tutoring sessions, use of appropriate language and behavior during interactions with tutors. Material from the tutoring sessions may not be shared without consent of the tutor and the tutors may be notified about disrupting factors like illness or internet issues immediately.

Any discriminatory comments based on race, gender, religion, nationality, disability, or sexual orientation, as well as any forms of harassment including, but not being limited to sharing inappropriate, offensive, or explicit content during sessions or attempting to solicit personal contact between student and tutor without consent, will not be tolerated and may result in immediate termination of services without refund. TIA Tutors reserves the right to suspend or permanently terminate tutoring services for any student who violates the Code of Conduct.

Intellectual property.

All educational materials, session recordings (if applicable), and resources provided by TiaTutors are the intellectual property of TiaTutors and the respective tutor exclusively. These materials are intended for personal use only and may not be copied, redistributed, or used for commercial purposes without explicit written consent. The same applies for any content shown on this website (www.tiatutors.com). Any content belongs to TiaTutors exclusively and may not be copied or distributed without written consent of the owner.

Non-competition and solicitation policy.

Students and clients agree not to engage in any activities that compete with the services of TiaTutors during the tutoring relationship and for a period of twelve (12) months after the last conducted session. This includes directly or indirectly contacting, hiring, or employing any TiaTutors tutor for private tutoring or related services outside of the TiaTutors platform without prior written consent from TiaTutors. Students and clients are also not permitted to offer, advertise, or provide tutoring services to other TiaTutors students or clients, nor to use any teaching materials, lesson plans, or resources obtained through TiaTutors for the purpose of offering independent or competing tutoring services. Any breach of this clause may result in the immediate termination of ongoing services and may entitle TiaTutors to seek appropriate compensation for damages arising from such conduct.

Limitation of liability.

TiaTutors shall not be held liable for any direct or indirect loss arising from the use or inability to use our tutoring services. While we strive for academic improvement, the success of tutoring services depends on multiple factors. While we do our best to train our students to achieve better grades, we can not guarantee specific grades or outcomes.

Modifications to terms and conditions.

TiaTutors reserves the right to adapt the Terms and Conditions at any time. Updated versions will be posted on the Site and will be effective immediately after posting. The last date of adaptation will always be present on top of this page.

Legal framework.

These Terms and Conditions, as well as any disputes or claims arising out of or in connection with them, their subject matter, or formation, shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Netherlands.

By using the services provided by TiaTutors, you expressly agree that the courts of the Netherlands shall have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any dispute or claim arising from or related to these Terms and Conditions or the use of our services. If any provision of these Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, unlawful, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect. Nothing in this section shall limit your rights as a consumer under applicable Dutch or European laws.
